The purpose of this study is to promote the creation of venues for carrying out activities related to the continued education for teachers, in order to provide new meaning to the information acquired by them as investigators of their teaching practices with aims at improving students’ learning under the light of a transforming complex educational reality. This study is based on the hermeneutic phenomenological approach with the objective of describing and interpreting observed data. Given that this Project is jointly endeavored by Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (Brazil) and Universidade do Porto (Portugal), the same continued education program for teachers will be carried out in both countries. In Portugal, the school will be selected by the supervisor teacher, based on the needs of the Território Educativo de Intervenção Prioritário – TEIP (Priority Educational Intervention Territory). The study is based on the following authors: Arroyo (2004 e 2007), Bauman (2001, 2008, 2010); Claxton (2005); Formosinho (2009); Freire (1996); Nóvoa (1992, 1995); Morin (2006); Oliveira-Formosinho (2009); Portilho (2009 and 2011); Pozo (1999, 2002 and 2004); Tardif (2011); Shön (1995).
