Welcome to I SimPsi

The I Symposium from the Psychology Doctoral Program (I SimPsi) of Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Porto (FPCEUP) is focused on psychology research applied to social problems. This theme will be developed into four areas of expertise:

Cognitive and affective neurosciences;
Education and development;
Human relationships, health and well-being;
Inclusion, exclusion and cultural diversity.

I SimPsi is justified by the need to promote the strengthening of research and the sharing of knowledge between the different fields of psychology expertise among young researchers.

Goals

To encourage discussion on the applicability of scientific research in psychology to the resolution of social problems;
To promote the discussion of cross-cutting themes to the various areas of psychology research;
To disseminate and share on going or recently completed research that have one of I SimPsi’s main themes;
To contribute to the establishment of partnerships that will enable the development and improvement of research groups in the psychology area;
To form and consolidate exchange networks and national and/or international academic cooperation;
To mobilize researchers for scientific and academic production.

Audience

PhD students in psychology and related areas are encouraged to apply.
