Following successful meetings in Padua, Paris, Freiburg, Utrecht, Barcelona, Poitiers, Verona, Stafford, Geneva, Antwerp, Lund and Heidelberg, we are much pleased to invite writing researchers, from all over the world, to meet in Porto, at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Porto, from the 11th to the 13th of July 2012.
The aim of the SIG Writing conferences is to promote interdisciplinary exchanges among researchers from several fields (e.g., psychology, linguistics, education, cognitive science, computer science, literary studies, and rhetorics), who are interested in understanding the cognitive, social, and developmental processes involved in writing, who are concerned with designing writing instruction in various educational settings, or with exploring the functions of writing in different social and institutional contexts.
