Abstract
The research project entitled 'Ukrainian immigrant youth in Portugal: Identity, liminality and belonging' was conducted using a mixed-method approach and aimed to explore the educational experiences in relation to identities of children from families of Ukrainian migrants who attended Ukrainian supplementary ethnic schools at weekends while studying in Portuguese mainstream schools. The data was colected via the survey of 184 students aged 12+ attending various Ukrainian Saturday/Sunday schools across Portugal, as well as via a qualitative case study of a Ukrainian Saturday school in Lisbon.
