Guidelines for Presentation

The WebApp will be the new conference location. Therefore, we need to make adjustments to the new online format. Due to a large number of participants we will use the Q&A with moderation feature. This option will allow participants to write their questions during each session, and the moderator will put them lively in the session.

Key-note addresses, individual papers, and symposia will be pre-recorded. Roundtables and meet-the-editors’ sessions will run live. The conference will provide technical support for assisting participants in this process. After they registered in the EARA2020 conference, presenters will be contacted by Leading, that is assisting the conference organization, to schedule presentations recording. Presenters and moderators (as well as discussants when applicable) will also have the opportunity to run tests with the technical team before the event.

More specific technical guidelines will be provided to all authors well in advance by Leading

Posters

Poster sessions will be organized by theme. A discussant, invited by the Organizing Committee, will provide feedback, either individually or to a group of presentations. Although the posters will be available during the whole conference (and up to 2 weeks after the end of the conference), authors are expected to be online for questions and discussion during a fixed time in the program.

The traditional poster format (A0) has to be adapted to a Web Scientific Poster format, to conform to the desktop and laptop screens.

Individual Papers

Individual papers will be grouped into thematic sessions of 6 papers. Each paper is given 10 minutes. Presentations will be available in the program prior to the discussion session and up to 2 weeks after the end of the conference. There is a specific scheduled time for discussion, during which authors are expected to be available online. Each thematic session discussion will last 45 minutes. All thematic sessions will have a moderator.

Symposia

A symposium includes 4 research-based presentations around a common theme. Each presentation is given 10 minutes. The discussant will also have 10 minutes for integrating all contributions. There should be approximately 25 minutes for general discussion. Presentations will be shown at the specific timeslot scheduled in the program, and then be available up to 2 weeks after the end of the conference. Discussions follow the presentations watch. Authors and participants are expected to be online in the session for engaging in the discussion. The whole session will last 90 minutes and will be moderated by the symposium organizer.

Roundtables

A roundtable gathers 4 researchers that will discuss a common theme/issue during a live session. It is possible to use a live polling feature and gather in two-side conversations with the audience. The session is expected to last 90 minutes and will have a moderator.

Meet-the-Editors

This will be a live session with 4 editors and the respective moderator. The session is expected to last 90 minutes.
