– poster sessions;
– pre-conference workshops for researchers and practitioners.

The pre-conference workshops (on Wednesday 19th July) will provide professional training certificates from the International Society for Emotional Intelligence.

Porto

The city of Porto was built in the Middle Age. Being a reference point for commercial activity, Porto was an important and big city in the 14th and 15th centuries, monopolizing the regional economy.

At the Douro riverbanks, the “Cidade Invicta” (unvanquished city) is one of the oldest cities in Europe and the second largest city of Portugal. Known worldwide by the Porto Wine, the “city of bridges” has actually six bridges over the Douro river. Luís I bridge is the most famous of all, built between 1881 and 1886 by Théophile Seyrig, colleague of Gustave Eiffel.

In 1996, UNESCO classified the city of Porto as Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and in 2001 Porto was designated as the European Capital of Culture with Rotterdam. City of history, architecture, culture, gastronomy, trade and sea, Porto was also elected in 2014 as Best European Destination: “you will find it hard to leave”, according to European Best Destinations. The city of Porto has about 237.559 habitants (data from 2011) and an extension area of 41.42 m2 (data from 2013).

International Society for Emotional Intelligence
