Ana Mouraz (PI)

Ana Mouraz holds a PhD in Education Sciences - Philosophy of Education - University of Coimbra and Master in Education Sciences - University of Coimbra. She is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE), of FPCEUP. His research interests include Curriculum Studies; Pedagogy in higher education; Institutional evaluation; Evaluation of learning; Teacher training.

Amélia Lopes

Amélia Lopes (Co-PI)

Amélia Lopes is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Porto. She is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE), of FPCEUP. His research interests include Education and Democracy; Professions and Professions; Identities, communication and professional knowledge in Education and Health; Initial and continuing teacher training; Training evaluation; Schools, creativity and leadership; Schools, Communication and Health; Higher Education and challenges to academic identities.

Fátima Pereira

Fátima Pereira

Fátima Pereira is Associate Professor with Aggregation at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto. She is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE), of FPCEUP. His research interests include Teacher Training; Childhood school education; Educational policy, Ethics and justice in public education and socio-educational mediation.

Angélica Monteiro

Angélica Monteiro

Angélica Monteiro holds a PhD in Education Sciences and a Master in Multimedia Education from the University of Porto. She is currently a researcher at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE), at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto. Its broad areas of interest include Digital Technologies, e-Learning, b-Learning, Digital Inclusion, Pedagogy and Higher Education.

Ana Cristina Torres

Ana Cristina Torres holds a PhD in Didactics and Training, a specialty in Didactics and Curricular Development and a Specialization in Science Didactics, by the Department of Education of the University of Aveiro. She is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE), of FPCEUP. His research interests include student Voices about curriculum and school; Curriculum and learning; Teacher training and professional development; Education in Sciences, citizenship and scientific literacy.

Fernando Ferreira-Santos

Fernando Ferreira-Santos

Fernando Ferreira-Santos is Assistant Professor at the Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ciências da Educação da Universidade do Porto since 2015, where he is part of the Laboratory of Neuropsychophysiology. He obtained this PhD in 2013 at the University of Porto, having conducted two years of research (2010-2012) at the University College London (UCL). He has authored 29 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals in the fields of Psychology and Cognitive, Affective, and Social Neuroscience. He has conducted laboratory research for the last 10 years, and has participated in 11 scientific projects funded in competitive calls (FCT, BIAL Foundation), two of which as Principal Investigator. He is Associate Editor for the journal Psicologia: Reflexão e Crítica | Psychology: Research and Review and serves as the Secretary of the Board of the European Society for Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (ESCAN). His research consists of a neuroscientific approach to the perception of emotion across development and the role of emotion in social behavior, with a focus on electroencephalographic (EEG) measures of brain activity.

Leanete Thomas Dotta

Leanete Thomas Dotta

Leanete Thomas Dotta holds a PhD in Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil. She is an integrated researcher at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE), of FPCEUP. His research interests include Teacher Training; Teacher trainers; Higher education; Professional identities; Students; Non-Traditional Adult Students; Narrative Research; Distance education.

José Carlos Morgado

José Carlos Morgado

José Carlos Morgado holds a PhD in Education, a specialty in Curriculum Development, from the University of Minho, Portugal. He is an Associate Professor and Researcher at the Center for Research in Education - CIEd of the Institute of Education of the University of Minho. His research interests include the following areas: Curricular Studies, Educational and Curricular Policies, Teacher Training, Higher Education and Evaluation.

José Alberto Lencastre

José Alberto Lencastre

José Alberto Lencastre a doctorate in Education, specialization in Educational Technology, from the University of Minho, Portugal. He is a professor of Educational Technology at the Institute of Education of the University of Minho and an integrated researcher at the CIEd - Center for Research in Education - of the same university. His teaching interests include understanding the opportunities to improve the teaching and learning processes through technology. José has developed teaching and supervision activities in Master's and PhD programs exploring innovative pedagogical practices using technology: blended learning, flipped learning, gamification, game-based learning, digital storytelling. Research interests include research on design-based research, online learning, technology-enhanced learning and usability assessment. José is the author or co-author of more than 150 peer-reviewed articles on technology integration in education (face-to-face or online).

Marco Bento

Marco Bento

Marco Bento graduated in Basic Education - 1st Cycle, by ESE of Coimbra. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in ICT and an MSc in ICT, specializing in Multimedia Communication in 2013. He has won an Academic Merit Scholarship for his Higher Education course in 2015. He is a member of two international networks, COST- Digital Literacy Skills and Practices in the Early Years (DigiLitEY) and the International Network for Research-Collaborative Action. He is currently a researcher and PhD student at the Center for Research in Education at the University of Minho, with a research grant awarded by FCT in the Doctoral Program Technology Enhanced Learning and Societal Challenges (TEL-SC). He is also a co-researcher on the following projects: International Bringing Life Project Into the Classroom, project of pedagogical innovation with the use of mobile devices in education; International Project Games2Learn & Gamification2Engage, project that intends to work learning through play and the phenomenon of gamification in the educational process; His areas of interest are: Educational Technology, Mobile-Learning, Game-Based Learning, Gamification, Flipped Learning, Environments of Pedagogical Innovation and New Learning Spaces.

Thiago Freires

Thiago Freires

Thiago Freires holds a Master’s in Education Sciences by the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP), where he is currently finishing his doctoral research in the same field. He majored in Languages (Portuguese / English) at the University of São Paulo (USP) and worked as an English teacher at secondary schools and language institutes. Has a specialization in Childcare by the Abbey College (Dublin, Republic of Ireland) and, since 2013, has been involved in different research projects at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE) from FPCEUP. His research interests include educational trajectories; education in peripheral contexts; parent and family involvement in school education; educational relationship; and teacher training.
